Neighbourhood Board submits 10-year Regeneration Plan to Government

On 28th November Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, on behalf of the Believe in Bedworth Neighbourhood Board formally submitted its regeneration plan to government for approval, setting out our 10-year vision to unlock potential for Bedworth’s future.

Supported by £20 million in government funding through the national Pride in Place programme (formerly known as Plan for Neighbourhoods), the Plan will be overseen by the Believe in Bedworth Neighbourhood Board and will see up to £2 million a year invested in the things that really matter to people and in projects that build pride and connection.

Developed with extensive input from residents, the plan seeks to reflect what matters most to local people, to meet our vision, that in 2035 Bedworth will be a place where through day and night the town centre is the beating heart of the community, catering for all ages; a place of meeting, socialising, shopping, entertainment, sport, recreation, art, fun, and living life to the fullest. A safe place, where people belong, a Town to be proud of.

In its meeting on Monday 10th November, the Board committed to focus the initial 4 years on investing to increase pride in our town centre, with a range of small, medium and large projects that will start to make a real difference to where people live.
